IB Art Class Documentary Film Night
Mrs. Sikorski's IB art class featured a documentary film night. The students screened the documentary Wasteland . This moving film demonstrates what art can do for humanity. The artist Vik Muniz took his medium of photography and used it to improve the lives of the improvised people of Brazil.
In conjunction with this documentary the IB students participated in the The Memory Project. This is a humanitarian cause where our art students raised money through portraits they created of orphaned children in third world countries. The students participating in this project are Jake Copich, Imanni Brannick, Kyra Bullock, Nieshia Hill, Dwayne Kirkland, and William Wright.
We would like to thank everyone who supported the project and attended the film night.
