What is the one thing that helped you succeed in school?
My determination to graduate and become successful.
Who is your most memorable teacher and why?
Mr. List because he made me realize how much I love science.
What one word would your friends use to describe you?
Different
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Graduating from high school and getting into Syracuse University.
What is your favorite food?
Ice cream
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
Having a good job and education and a home to call my own.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Nothing, I am happy with the mistakes I’ve made because they make me who I am.
What will you miss most about high school?
Being with my friends every day.
What advice would you give underclassmen?
Never give up.
Eugene Butler will attend Syracuse University in the fall.
What is the one thing that helped you succeed in school?
The time I spent in AVID has helped me throughout high school because it taught me how to manage my time and how to study well.
Who is your most memorable teacher and why?
Mrs. Liddle would have to be my most memorable teacher because she had a great balance of discipline and laughter in her classroom.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the fact that I have a strong personal drive.
What is your favorite food?
Anything edible.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I hope to be living in New York City, comfortably, working on a career in the arts.
Who is your hero and why?
My hero is my mom because no matter what she never gives up on anything, including going to school five days a week and working weekends 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Improve my ability to focus on my long term goals.

My friends
What advice would you give underclassmen?
School is not hard. It’s your ability to try that will make you successful.
Karla Sanchez will attend Syracuse University where she plans to major in communications.
What is the one thing that helped you succeed in school?
I think the one thing that helped me was my drive to be a sportscaster. Knowing what I have to do in high school to get to my next step in life.
Who is your most memorable teacher and why?
Mrs. Perez. She has always been there when I needed her and we talk about everything.
What one word would your friends use to describe you?
Funny. I’m always making people laugh.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Winning a scholarship.
What is your favorite food?
Macaroni and cheese
Who is your hero and why?
My mother. She has been through so much in life but never gave up.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I need to be more cautious and need to question things more.
What will you miss most about high school?
All the fun activities like the pep rallies and sports games.
What advice would you give underclassmen?
Start looking at colleges or the military now. Don’t procrastinate.

My mom pushed me when I needed it and that, along with my drive to succeed in life.
Who is your most memorable teacher and why?
Mr. Kinnan, my 3rd and 5th grade teacher at Le Moyne Elementary. He was always there for me and made me laugh.
What one word would your friends use to describe you?
Genuine
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Getting accepted to LE Moyne College for communications.
What is your favorite food?
My mom’s cooking.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
Working for a film agency producing films.
Who is your hero and why?
My mom because her independence and strong will inspires me.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Being easily discouraged by a situation.
What will you miss most about high school?
My friends and teachers.
Michael Jennings plans to study civil engineering at Syracuse University in the fall.
What is the one thing that helped you succeed in school?
One thing that helped me succeed was taking advanced courses early.
Who is your most memorable teacher and why?
My most memorable teacher would be my 3rd, 4th and 5th grade teacher, Mr. Adams. He was a great teacher and never let his students give up.
What one word would your friends use to describe you?
Smart or funny
What is your favorite food?
Free food is always good.
What do you hope to be doing 10 years from now?
I hope to be working as a civil engineer and starting a family.
Who is your hero and why?
My hero would be my mom because she works every day and goes to Syracuse University part-time as a single mother.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
If I could change one thing I would want to stop forgetting things so easily.
What will you miss most about high school?
I will miss being in school with my friends.
What advice would you give underclassmen?
You should get all of your work out of the way so that you won’t have to question if you will be graduating when the time comes.
