Attendance Office Fowler High School
315-435-4377

Fowler adheres to a strict attendance policy--students are expected to be in class everyday and on time. Class begins at 7:50am and is dismissed at 2:10pm.

If a student misses a class, their parent or guardian is expected to either call the attendance office at 315-435-4377 or provide the student with a note including a working parent/guardian phone number to verify the absence was legal. Legal absences provide the student with the opportunity to make-up the work they missed. Students have the number of days they were absent to make-up the work starting with their first day returning to school following the absence. Although field trips are legal absences, students have one day to make-up the work they missed and are responsible for completing that work.

Students with illegal absences may not be allowed to make-up the work they have missed and could receive zeros for those assignments. Suspensions (in-school and out-of-school) both count as illegal absences.

Fowler has a phone system that will call the student's home telephone when a class is missed. Parents and guardians can verify the absence through this phone call. Please contact the Attendance Office if you would like an alternate phone number called when your student misses a class.
