Here is the June Exam Schedule for NYS Exams & Tutoring. The Tutoring is FREE for all students - student should meet with their counselor ASAP if they are unsure which exams they should be taking.

Fowler Student Honored for Role in Rescue!

Fowler Resource Officer Jim Stone nominated Fowler sophomore Wilquan Burke for recognition by the District Attorney's Adviory Counsil for his role October 3, 2009 in saving a family from their burning home. Wilquan and a friend were walking home when they noticed the building was onfire. They quickly acted and alerted the 10 people inside - including Kimberly & Arnold West and their 3 young children - who were not aware the buidlng was burning. Kimberly West has said: “He’s my hero,” she said. “Without him, me and my husband and our three children would not be here today.”

Mr. Villnave & Mr. Taylor's BB Half-Time Show!

This year's Senior-Staff Basketball Game featured a new addition thanks to Mr. Villnave (business teacher) & Mr. Taylor (math teacher). These two gentlemen decided to entertain the crowd during half-time with a synchronized "dance" to Miley Cyrus' "Party in the USA." The video has become a You Tube Sensation, were featured on Channel 9 News and Mr. Villnave was interviewed on Bridge Street! Thanks guys for a memorable event!

NJROTC Featured on News Channel 3 & Voted Best Story!

Fowler's NJROTC (Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp) was featured in March by News Channel 3 as part of their "My School" Series. The students did an excellent job showcasing this unique program at Fowler and the story was voted by viewers as the best story of the month! This is the second time this year that Fowler participated in "My School" by News Channel 3 and the second time that our story won! Fowler's Student Court Program was featured in November. Mayor Stephanie Miner Speaks to Fowler Students!
On Wednesday, February 10, 2010, Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner accepted an invitation by Fowler students Letisha Hayes to visit our school. Mayor Miner toured the building with several students and then addressed a group of about 200 juniors and seniors. Please click here to read more about Mayor Miner's visit to Fowler.

Seniors - Deadline for having your Senior Portrait taken and submitting your Baby Picture is January 30th!
December 17th is the last date Senior Photographers will be at Fowler. After that you will need to go to the studio in East Syracuse. Please turn in your baby photos to Mrs. Sherman ASAP - they will be scanned and returned. Thank you!

Fowler Wins "Best Design" for the 4th Straight Year at Annual Build 'Em & Bust 'Em!
On Saturday, November 22, 2009, three teams of students from Fowler completed at the MOST's Annual Build 'Em & Bust 'Em bridge building competition. The following students comprised the three teams that competed from Fowler: Chau Pham, Vinh Kha, Tuyen Huyhn, Khung Tran, Hoa Luu, Anh Phuong, Tho Le, Kim Pham, and Tuyet Luu. Tho Le, Kim Pham and Tuyet Luu designed a bridge that won "BEST DESIGN!" This is the fourth year in a row that Fowler has won the "Best Design" category!Best Design Team

The following Students participated in Bridge Building this year and put in between 30-60 hours of planning, designing & constructing: Oleg Silyuk, Jayqual Fields, Nimpaye Philemon, Joel Gonzales, Durga Subedi, Tuyen Huynh, Jaquan Pridgen, Phuong Thuy Doan, Jesse Rivera, Wheaton Clarke, Chazity Cruz, Madan Khanal, Anh Tuyet Doan Luu, Nee Po, Leela Adhikari and Jose Rodriguez. Thank you Mr. Fitzpatrick, Mr. Ngo & Mr. Woolery for all your time and congratulations to all the students who participated in this event! Go Falcons!

Fowler Student Court Featured on Channel 3 News!
Fowler's student court was featured on Channel 3 News "My School" segment. The Court - made up of Fowler upperclassman - hears the cases of students who have gotten into trouble and provide consequences based on facts and evidence presented by peers and staff. Check out the full segment at Channel 3. Shown below (left picture) are Student Court Judges Samantha Santiago, Christopher Parks and Precious Williams. Markeem Chaplin and Dieudonne Pierre (shown in right picture) were student reporters for Channel 3 Action News at Fowler!

Parents & guardians - you can now view your student's grades, discipline and attendance online at the Home Access Center. If you do not have a computer at home, all public libraries have computers that you can use the internet on for free! Usernames & Passwords were mailed home over the summer-if you do not have your username & password, please call the Attendance Office at 435-4377. How to log-in:
1. Open up the internet (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari etc)
2. Go to the SCSD Website at http://www.scsd.us
3. Click on the "Home Access Center" button on the right hand side.
4. Enter your username & password - then click "log-in."
